As a former military man, I have high standards and expections.

I hold myself to a high standards for my fitness, working out at least five times per week, often more.

I stay disciplined with my eating, maintaining my calories or staying in a slight deficit.

The members of our gym are also held to high standards.

They are expected to show up to:

  • Show up to class three or more times per week.
  • Book quarterly check-ins with me to measure results.
  • Eat clean outside of the gym.

The 5-Year Vision

Five years from now, I see Showdown Training Club as the central hub of the University Pointe Plaza in Downtown Davie.

I see our gym becoming a thriving fitness community known as “the place to get into the best shape of your life.”

People will come here to get stronger, fitter, and faster, guided by expert coaching and surrounded by a community of people chasing similar goals.

Our Core Services

Small Group Personal Training

Our main offering will be our small group personal training classes, capped at 10 people so every members receives coaching, cues, feedback, and personal attention.

We’ll program one workout per day, with all small groups following that workout.

See our workout of the day here.

This is the best option for people who want to train five times per week alongside friends and family and guided by expert coaches.

Personal Training

For those who want even more attention, we offer 1-on-1 personal training.

This is a great option for individuals who want a higher level of coaching that we can’t provide in a 1-hour group class.

All eyes on you, in a structured, personalized 45-minute training session that is designed just for you.

For personalized coaching, high accountability, and fast results, you’ll want to train 1-on-1 with one of our expert coaches.

We can also add this on to a small group training plan to get the best of both world.

Foundations

Weightlifitng is all about proper form, technique, and body awareness.

We believe that it is best to learn the foundations of weightlifting, conditioning, and nutrition in a 1-on-1 format.

We are a coaching gym and we set our members up for success with us before starting our small group training program.

In our Foundations course, we will teach new members everything that they need to know so they can be successful with their fitness.

You will come out of foundations with an understanding of the following:

  • Your current level of fitness: strength, conditioning, mobility
  • Limitations: injuries and mobility restrictions
  • Nutrition: what to eat, how much, and when
  • Training preference: whether you’d like to train in group, or 1-on-1. You will get the best of both worlds and decide what is best for you.

Future Considerations

Living a healthy lifestlye is more than just coming to the gym to your daily workout.

You also have to consider…

  • Recovery: Sleep, hydration, sauna, cold plunge
  • Nutrition: Sustainable daily habits, macronutrient balance, and calorie control
  • Mobility: Yoga, Pilates, and mobility training
  • Recreational Fitness: Swimming, paddleboarding, hiking, bouldering

In the future, we aim to offer recovery services such as sauna and cold plunge.

We would like to educate our community on the importance of nutrition outside of the gym on topics such as:

  • How to grocery shop to avoid snacks, sugar, and foods that detract from weight loss
  • Implementing simple and sustainable daily habits that are easy to follow
  • How much you are supposed to eat to lose weight

In the future, we aim to:

  • Offer recovery services like sauna and cold plunge
  • Host nutrition workshops (grocery shopping tips, portion control, habit building)
  • Partner with local fitness studios to provide supplemental training opportunities
  • Organize community fitness events like 5ks, kayaking trips, and bouldering outings

Final Thoughts on the Future of Showdown Training Club

I wrote this blog post without any AI, scripts, or overthinking – just my vision.

I know exactly where Showdown Training Club is headed. It will take time, planning, partnerships, relationship-building, and buy-in from our most loyal supporters—our members.

Fitness is better when you’re surrounded by people you like, know, and trust – whether it’s a coach, a best friend you met at the gym, or your neighbor you convinved to workout with you.

Our gym is destined to be more than just a gym, it will be a thriving community for people who want to make the most out of life.
