As we prepare for our big move, we’re hosting one final Intramural Open at CrossFit Showdown—one last opportunity to come together, push our limits, and celebrate the incredible community we’ve built.
From February 28th to March 14th, members will compete in a fun, team-based version of the CrossFit Open, earning points through workouts, participation, and community challenges. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the gym, the Intramural Open is designed for everyone to enjoy.
Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s event, including how to sign up, earn points, and make the most of the experience.
The Intramural Open is a gym-wide competition that brings our community together in a supportive, high-energy environment. Unlike the standard CrossFit Open, where athletes compete individually, our version is team-based—meaning every rep, cheer, and challenge helps your team succeed.
Over the course of three weeks, CrossFit HQ will release an Open workout every Thursday evening. We will complete these workouts at the gym on Friday. To score points for your team, all you need to do is show up—they’re counting on you!
This event is about much more than just competition—it’s about camaraderie, pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, and having a great time with your fellow athletes.
One of the best parts of the Intramural Open is that there are multiple ways to contribute, no matter your skill level. Teams can earn points through the following:
Week 1 Theme: Gym Bros vs. Yoga Pros
Week 2 Theme: Wild West Workout
Week 3 Theme: Neon Night
Whether you’ve done the Open before or this is your first time, there are plenty of reasons to get involved:
Signing up is simple—just stop by the front desk and let a coach know you’re in. Registration is $50. We’ll draft teams and announce them before the competition kicks off on February 28th.
Here’s the competition schedule:
This is our last Intramural Open before we transition to our new location, making it an event to remember. Whether you’re competing for the challenge, the team spirit, or simply the fun of it, we encourage every member to sign up and be part of the experience.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask a coach. We’ll see you on the competition floor!
